(Harrisburg, PA) – Jeff Lord, CNN commentator and columnist for the American Spectator will speak at the 2017 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference. The conference will be held March 31 and April 1, 2017 at the Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center in Camp Hill (Harrisburg), PA. A former Associate Political Director in the Reagan White House, Jeff is author of the book What American Needs: The Case for Trump.
Columnist and social media commentator Ben Shapiro will be the featured speaker at the conference dinner on Friday, March 31st. Peter Schweizer, author and President of the Government Accountability Institute will be a featured speaker. Additional speakers and topics for this year’s panel presentations and workshops will be announced over the coming weeks.
The Pennsylvania Leadership Conference is the premiere gathering of public policy conservatives each year in the Keystone State. Jeffrey Lord is a former Associate Political Director in the Reagan White House, as well as an aide to Secretary Jack Kemp at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Lord began his political career as a staff member to Senate Republican Leaders Richard C. Frame and Henry G. Hager. After an unsuccessful run for the state legislature in 1976, Lord went to Washington where he served as the press secretary, legislative director and House Budget Committee staff member for Pennsylvania US Congressman Bud Shuster, followed by two years as executive assistant to US Senator John Heinz (R-PA) and chief of staff to national Reagan-Bush campaign co-chair Drew Lewis, Reagan’s Secretary of Transportation.
Now a columnist and contributing editor at The American Spectator, Lord is also a columnist at Conservative Review and NewsBusters. A CNN commentator, he is the author of What America Needs: The Case for Trump and The Borking Rebellion, the story of a U.S. Senate judicial confirmation battle. Borking was favorably reviewed in The Wall Street Journal. His writing work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Washington Times, The Los Angeles Times, National Review Online, and The Weekly Standard.
