Jeffrey Lord is a former Associate Political Director in the Reagan White House, as well as an aide to Secretary Jack Kemp at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Lord began his political career as a staff member to Senate Republican Leaders Richard C. Frame and Henry G. Hager. After an unsuccessful run for the state legislature in 1976, Lord went to Washington where he served as the press secretary, legislative director and House Budget Committee staff member for Pennsylvania US Congressman Bud Shuster, followed by two years as executive assistant to US Senator John Heinz (R-PA) and chief of staff to national Reagan-Bush campaign co-chair Drew Lewis, Reagan’s Secretary of Transportation.
Now a columnist and contributing editor at The American Spectator, Lord is also a columnist at Conservative Review and NewsBusters. A CNN commentator, he is the author of What America Needs: The Case for Trump and The Borking Rebellion, the story of a U.S. Senate judicial confirmation battle. Borking was favorably reviewed in The Wall Street Journal.
He lives in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
