David N. Taylor is President of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association (PMA), a statewide trade organization representing the interests of manufacturers in the state’s public policy process since 1909.
A graduate of Dickinson College, Taylor is the host of “PMA Perspective”, a statewide television program on the Pennsylvania Cable Network, and “Capitol Watch”, a twice-monthly segment on the statewide radio program “Lincoln Radio Journal.”
In 2012, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett appointed him to the Governor’s Manufacturing Advisory Council. He is also an Advisory Committee member of the Pennsylvania Steel Alliance.
Taylor serves on the boards of directors of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association, the Lincoln Institute for Public Opinion Research, the Pennsylvania Leadership Council, the Foundation for Free Enterprise Education, the Pennsylvania eCommerce Association, the Pennsylvania Chamber Educational Foundation, and BIPAC. Since 2010, Taylor has represented the northeast United States on the board of directors of the Conference of State Manufacturers Associations.
Immediately prior to joining PMA in 1997, he worked in the Washington DC office of U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum.
In the community, David serves as school board president of Reach Cyber Charter School and is a longtime supporter of Gamut Theatre Group, home of the Harrisburg Shakespeare Company and Popcorn Hat Players Children’s Theatre. He is also a member of Central Pennsylvania MENSA.
A native of Huntingdon PA, he is the son of former Huntingdon County President Judge Newton C. Taylor and Nancy R. Taylor. David lives near Hershey PA with his wife Erica and their daughter Meredith.
