Mike Folmer, State Senator ran on a “Promise to Pennsylvania,” a pledge to advance government reform, tort reform, the elimination of wasteful state spending, and lower taxes, Mike Folmer was first elected to the Pennsylvania Senate in 2006 and re-elected to a second term in 2010.
Senator Folmer has had more than a dozen bills signed into law and currently serves as Chairman of the Senate Education Committee and Vice Chair of the Labor and Industry Committee. Other committee assignments include Inter-Governmental Operations; State Government; Communications and Technology; Rules and Executive Nominations; and Urban Affairs and Housing.
Senator Folmer is also a founding member of the Constitutional Organization of Liberty, a community-wide educational project designed to promote awareness of America's founding principles. He and his wife reside in Lebanon.
