RJ Harris

RJ Harris has been the host of the RJ Harris Breakfast Show on WHP580 since September 2000.

He started in radio at age 14 in Reading, PA and has worked for NBC in New York, as well as stations in Chicago, Philadelphia, and Sacramento.

RJ was named one of Pennsylvania’s Top Influencers by Politics magazine, but is most proud of his community service record and connection with the military. RJ has been inducted to the Chapel of Four Chaplains and received their “Legion of Honor Medal,” as well as the Marine Corp League's Distinguished Service Award, and commissioned as an Honorary Supply Corp Officer in the United States Navy. He has been named “Personality of the Year” twice by Pennsylvania Special Olympics.

RJ Has been officially proclaimed “The Morning Governor” by former Governor Tom Corbett and has served as master of ceremonies at events for President George W. Bush, and others. He has also broadcast his show from the Goodyear Blimp, The White House and other unique locations throughout the years.

RJ was morbidly obese all of his adult life until 2006 when he decided to change his life forever and shed more than 200 pounds. He is author of a book about his weight loss experience called, “It Ain’t Easy Being Fat, But That’s Your Problem. Tough Love from A Recovering Foodaholic.”

RJ has been married to Bonnie for 44 years, and they have three children and five-and-a-half granddaughters. (another due in April)
